LA Radio Changes And An Intense Election Season

All over the radio Monday is talk about this horrible press conference that the President did today. His first one since March. And a lot of talk about this Missouri congressman that put his foot in his mouth, the rape comment. Hugh Hewitt just took the president apart. It's really amazing to me that this president says stuff that's either not true or with slight of hand moving the discussion to something he wants to talk about. I think after seeing the movie 2016 this last weekend a whole lot of people have had enough. A woman behind me at the end of the film said "I feel sick to my stomach" The couple weeks coming up here next week with the convention is going to be must hear radio. Can you imagine Chris Christie doing the key note....holy crap!

Big local news is that Heidi Hamilton and Frank Kramer are getting the morning show slot at KLOS replacing Mark and Brian starting Sept 4th. October of last year KABC dropped them. I've been to the studio. KABC is there and KLOS is across the hall. That's pretty funny. I think the KLOS audience will love  Heidi and Frank. They can do their great music bit on Friday's "Stay or Go" where they rate local bands. I see them doing remotes and maybe even a billboard. Good for them, happy for them.

This is rare on Coast to Coast AM with Stand-up comedian, actor, and author, Richard Belzer, he's currently on the cast and is best known for his role as John Munch on the hit NBC show, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He was on talking about Conspiracies. You've gotta see his website, it's incredible. It acts as it were a iPad. He's on talking about his new book: Dead Wrong: Straight Facts on the Country's Most Controversial Cover-Ups. http://www.ibelz.com/

Thanks To Phyllis Diller for all the laughs. Several hosts played clips from her stand up. She was all over TV talk shows when I was a kid, loved it. Rest in peace.
